Thickness Specifications of Ceramic Fiber Cloth

2. Thin cloth and thick cloth

Thin cloth is usually 6 mm to 25 mm thick. Common sizes are 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, and 25 mm. This cloth is for low-insulation uses. It suits insulation pads for electrical and thermal equipment. It also works for high-temperature pipeline insulation.

Thick cloth usually has a thickness between 25 mm and 100 mm. Common sizes are 25 mm, 38 mm, 50 mm, 60 mm, 75 mm, and 100 mm. This cloth suits high-insulation needs. Use it in high-temp equipment and pipelines in metallurgy, petroleum, and chemical industries. It is for furnaces, too.

Besides the common thicknesses above, manufacturers can customize others. They will do so based on users’ needs.

II. Application Fields
